For those travelling, here are a few options for staying in the area:
Bellurgan Park – there are a number of simple ensuite cabins on site. If anybody is interested in these, please get in touch with us.
Ballymascanlon Hotel – historic 4-star hotel just a couple of mins away by car.
There are numerous B&Bs close by, as well as hotels in Newry and Dundalk. Carlingford, a picturesque town 25 mins away by car, also has a lot of accommodation.
In addition, Bellurgan Park has space for campervans and, for the more adventurous, you can bring a tent and pitch it on the grounds!
Everything on the day will take place at Bellurgan Park. If needed, taxis can be found on the apps Freenow, Uber, Tap a Taxi, and via local firms.

Your county jersey. Only joking. Summer dresses and suits, but really whatever you feel comfortable in.
As for footwear, the outdoor areas include gravel and grass – wider heels should be fine but it would probably be better to avoid stilettos!
We would love to invite all children but the dining area in the venue is limited so we will only be able to accommodate babies who won’t need a full extra seat.
There will be events the following day however and children of all ages will be more than welcome (see below).
Thank you for your understanding.

We are also planning a get-together on Sunday 21 June for anybody who is up for a second day of celebration.
It will be at the same venue, with live music, storytelling, events for kids etc.
It’s turning into a mini-festival, Griantrad (‘grian’ means ‘sun’ in Irish and ‘trad’ refers to traditional music).
More info to come!
